Try typing a Japanese comment!

PSS. The above tip also applies for sounds like "Fa" "Fi" "Fe" "Fo", being typed as ファ、フィ、フェ、フォ, but simply going "fa, fi, fe fo" also works

I had a problem. I typed "k" and "a" and got "のち". Because the "Kana-Input" was activated by default. I deactivated it and I could use the normal Romaji input. Just right-click on the Hiragana A or Romaji A and deactivate "Kana-Input".

私はかわいい人です。Thanks so much! I have been learning Japanese on my phone for about 6 months. Not putting too much time each day into learning, but now that I have made the switch to my PC and a full size keyboard, my motivation has been renewed! ありがとうございます。

Thanks man! I'm new to Japanese and I purchased a keyboard to practice typing but in every guide I saw them switch to IME. However, I had no idea how to find that option and now I have. ありがとう!

「でぃ」は「dhi」でも打てるよ
知ってたらごめんね

You can also type "dhi" for "でぃ"

One extra useful keyboard short cut is alt+` changes to raw keyboard input for something like gaming without having to switch to English input.

I actually do have a kana keyboard, but I probably wouldn't actually type like that since I type pretty fast with standard QWERTY already.

Did not mention how typing I M A literally gives the current time (like 22時30分) in the options dropdown, 0/10
Jokes aside, this is very helpful.

Dude why is your English so good? I have not seen any Japanese speaking fluent English like a native speaker until I see you

I'm a decent typist in English, but my rōmaji input is a lot slower.

Also, I find inputting “XN” for ん more intuitive, especially for typing ん+な行, like “OXNNA” for おんな and “HAXNNOU” for はんのう.
