Is it logical to be a humanist in a world full of terrible humans? How do you reconcile with all the bad structural things you’re forced to take part in, if your goal is to be a good person? Can someone who hunts, drives a big truck, and owns an iphone be considered moral by harm reduction standards? Vi provides some practical advice: the four circles of activism.

This is part of why I'm a Social Contract moral theorist, and not for utilitarianism. I do think that consequentialism can lead one to uncomfortable unobtainable "super duties". Social Contract moral theory has a harm principal and evaluates consequences, but the focus being maintaining society so as to avoid the State of Nature makes it more tenable to me.

The issue is about the specific point of religous influence on individuals, its not a broad humanitarian question.
You answered the larger part somewhat comprehensively but only skimmed over the religous influence.
If someone had called and said: Never been a theist but concerned if I'm humanitarian enough? Then your response would have been perfectly fitting. But this is a recent theist (I think? Because it was moved past quickly). Speaking more on concerns of theism on individuals, with a tiny bit on the broader points, would have suited better.
But it could also be I'm biased towards theism, recovery from theism, and new atheists. Not questions and answers on best humanitarian practices for common individuals.

Matt Dillahunty composed this beautifully. Eating meat is moral neutral. Not eating meat can be considered as virtue but not a moral duty. When I eat meat and i want it to be in a moral framework, I think of my natural state and the teeth in my mount.
Question: Is god re designed the teeth in carnivores after the sinful action of Adam and Eve? Not so intelligent to put meat eater teeth in animals to eat vegetables. Or: Is god know it in advance so it designed in "preemptive strike" style?

If a vegetarian only eats vegetables, does a humanitarian only eat humans?

To say " safety for all equally" then say, but if you want to "weaponise" your anger, I'm up for that, let's go to war. War with who? Those who disagree with you? The only enemies you have are the ones you make. Again, be mindful of the words & descriptions you use because it sounds self contradicting. I'm just saying.

"I'm pretty much corrupt by owning this iPhone!"
...You're just now finding that out? Wait, of course you are, because the mindset that would be willing to spend that much on a cellphone wouldn't ever question anything about it.
Because you've already agreed to the most outrageous part of that relationship. No smart person will EVER spend more than $300 on a cellphone.

This is not an attack, I'm trying t help. Be mindful that words have an impact on your viewers. You say you've lost a patrion & others have complained. This proves the point I just made. (Own your impact). Yes you made the show, but it's the viewers show, because without them, you have no viewers/ no show. Tones such as "it's my fucking show" is an ill attitude & people will pick up on that quickly. Words hold meaning, so be careful what you say & how you come across t viewers. To say " safe places for all equally" is good, until you crash n burn in total contradiction by saying, "but if you disagree with me, i'l become defensive, put out slurred remarks & name calling & be aggressive". This is self defeatist self harm. I'm not the one that looses followers, you are. ( Be better). Be mindful. No one is perfect.👍🌟❤️
