A fantastic review, thank you, as I’ve now watched this 3 times and couldn’t agree more having ridden one. I’m someone who knows how to set up suspensions for any application and rider and this simply doesn’t have enough adjustment, yet I can understand why KTM decided on the minimum approach as the majority of all riders lack the knowledge to set them up correctly and leave them in the settings from the factory. The ability to adjust traction control as you ride is nice as those switches also work for the cruise control. 👍😎🇦🇺

@9:17 Can you still put it in GP shift or do you need replacement rear sets? Can’t find the answer anywhere so I would really appreciate your response. On my 890 duke it was a quick 10 min invert job

Klucz do napięcia jest w zestawie (może nadal masz go gdzieś zaklinowanego po wysypce narzędzi ;). To startowe "na trójkę" to porażka - dupa siada przy zmianie biegu, przód niestabilny/shimmy przy odwinięciu przy większych prędkościach. Mam 95kg i jeżdżę na 6 ząbku. Siedzenie dałem wyższe z power parts, ale jest duzo gorzej wyprofilowane od fabrycznego (nie wspiera prostaty ;) i lecisz na kierę nawet przy zamknięciu gazu).

Hey man if you help me with a certain dilemma that I have. I have a 2019 triumph street triple rs and suspension setup for me. I’m thinking to upgrade for next year I can’t decide between 990 or 990r is it worth the upgrade or should I just stick to my triumph. I mostly do track days and sometimes on the street riding. Any insight on this is much appreciated 😊

Thanks for your great review! I want to buy one mainly for the street, but time by time for some Trackdays.

I sold my GSX-S 1000 because it was scraping to early.

I rode a S1000R and hit the 53degrees very early.
Do you think, that it can go near the 55° without scraping. I want to change the pegs, but the sidestand seems to be very low.

KTM has really screwed the pooch! Given their current state I don't believe we'll see the Duke 990R or 990 RCR. Finally they are going to build a street bike I'd like to buy (990RCR) just in time for them to go belly up.

Would not recommend a naked to compete with supersports, there was a guy that used an 1290r in an amateur cup in sweden and he had no real chance, until he swapped for an z6r and then he was up in the top basically every time.

Suspension 101. Adding preload doesn't make the suspension stiffer. Come on!

I was wondering "why is he racing a 15-year old bike?" before I realised that's the new mid-size Duke.
Mid-size caught up to old max-size.
