TWI was a 4-step method to train mostly "housewives & farmers" to support WWII efforts at home in the factories. In the 2 years after Midway, these people 'floated' 17 carriers + 96 more ships compared to Japan's 2 carriers. Similar results were demonstrated in aircraft production. Some companies are currently 'dusting off' these methods and using them today.
