How to Start Over with Squarespace | Squarespace 7.1 Tutorial

If you want to start over with a Squarespace site, there are several ways to do so without creating a new site. With these options, you can keep some of your content or style settings on a site you've already worked on.

If you don't want to keep your content or style settings, you can always create a new trial to start from scratch. This video goes over the steps for each option.

I have already paid for a website, and I am finding I have the wrong layout. The video didn't really answer my question. It sounds as if I have to start another free trial to get a clean slate?

My friend has a SS account with two websites. He wasn't happy with one of the sites, so I redesigned it using my own trial account then transferred the website I designed to his account. I then wanted to disconnect the site he had and turn on the one I transfered over but because that site has expired it wont let me. Ultimately he will still have two sites I just want the one designed to be of them, how can I achieve this? thanks in advance

The fact one can no longer change templates is one of the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Why would a user want to make all the changes manually when a template would do it all? I understand they all have the same functionality but the time in changing is too much. It makes me long for WordPress. Only reason it wasn’t used is because a teammember said this was easier. Ugh ☹️

On Chrome on a MAC the options on the Site Style panel they simply don't load I waited up to 5 min. The site is simple 30 pages, no videos. The cookies were cleared, all of the extensions disabled. I can't say the experience using Squarespace got better since the last time I had to use it. For any new viewer - the interface on the video is not the current interface. The "Site Style" menu is brush icon next to the arrow on the top right, at lest as of 26 Jan. 2024

So I am looking to scrap all of my previous work and start with a clean slate. It looks like that is not an option, and I think it would be a really good idea to implement it. It has nothing to do with the sites all being in the same template family, and everything to do with having to literally undo everything manually, and THEN rebuild. Please consider bringing this feature. Also, the title of this video is incredibly disingenuous. I feel like my time was wasted. It sounds like y'all knew what was being asked, and uploaded this with this title to band aid the solution.
