Still a better upgrade than the 14 Pro to 15 Pro. The camera upgrade is def a reason in its own to buy this if you are coming from an older device. I'm sure Apple will use this sensor for the next couple generations!

For most users, sticking with 14/15 is fine. The only differentiation as most people don't use the bells and whistle of the pro's series. They tend to use them as a status symbol. Just my thought.

I am just really glad you put effort into 15 series besides 15Pro and Pro max, the whole youtube is full of “15 pro camera” review, it is awesome, everybody knows it. But a lot of people are also going to buy the basic 15 series as many people don’t really need the pro features, besides, 15 series are more financial affordable.

My refresh cycle for my iPhone is like 5-6 years and now it will be the 5th year and soon will replace it with the 15 Pro Max 😍 256gb since I’m in my iPhone XR with 128gb and still have 33gb remaining on my storage I think 256gb will be a great storage option for me. ☺️

Important correction: The upgraded Portrait mode is NOT going to be available on older iPhone models via the iOS 17 update.

Great review - the iPhone 14's photos were warmer and had more vibrant colors than the iPhone 15. I would pick 14's photos in a blind test.

Small corrections:
3:35 iPhone 14's A15 is paired with LPDDR4X RAM and X65 Modem, while on 15 it is LPDDR5 and X70 modem. Neither of them support Wi-Fi 6E, which is reserved for 15 Pro.
4:30 It's not the same sensor as 14 Pro, it's an entirely new sensor (which supposed to have stacked design for improved light capture) that is actually smaller than 14&15 Pro's. The focal length is also still at 26mm while not even getting second generation sensor-shift stabilization

Apple used to bring previous pro max sensor to the next standard model but this year it's not the case. The 48MP sensor smaller in the standard 15 (around 10mm diagonally) than the 14/15 pro (which is 12.2mm diagonally). It's little bit bigger than the 14 series. But it's a good upgrade none the less.

Don’t know why but I liked the pictures better on the iPhone 14..! Just my preference..

For me, the lack of a high refresh rate dispaly is the reason i’m sticking with my 14. I wished Apple would have given the 15 lineup atleast a 90hz display because that would have been the trigger for people to upgrade even if they had the 14 series

i love my 12 pro still. the 15 is interesting to me because of cinematic mode & the dynamic island is aesthetically pleasing to me. so from this video i'm getting that i should wait 1 more year to upgrade.

How does the 14 pro compare to the 15? I'm not sure which one to get for an upgrade

I have the 14 Pro rn (my first iPhone) and it’s great, but there’s these “Pro” features that I don’t necessarily need, and makes the price not “worth it” as a casual/normal user. So the basic models is what’s perfect for me I think, BUT one feature that I will now always be looking for in a phone is the 120hz screen! I don’t think I can go back to a 60hz screen. I just WISH they also add this onto the basic models, or at least a 90hz would be nice! I’m hoping we’ll see it on the iPhone 16, if so, I’ll definitely be sold.

Thank you so very much my good man. I came from a 6S plus to a 14 today and this video saved me about $650.

I could have done $25.39 for a 15 or $5.99 a month for a 14 and the micro upgrades on the 15 weren’t worth it and I couldn’t see any difference in the photos. Maybe because I’ve been using the 6S plus camera. If there was a difference it doesn’t matter to me! 😊
