Change what you want to suit yourself & the fam Harry.

Tip on avoiding wanting to get the latest and greatest stuff/setup is to build your own. When you have a cool draw/shelf system or whatever in the back of the car/ute that you built, you take pride in it and you'll always have something that's different.

You do you bro! Times change, products change and we must change unfortunately sometimes to adapt or just to stay “modern” with the times! Enjoyed your video as always and appreciate you taking the time and effort!
Cheers 🍻

Change is inevitable. No 10 year tourer would be the same at the start and end, and I think it is good to acknowledge that your circumstances may have changed, and it's not the end of the world to change your setup to suit

It’s makes a change seeing a 150 prado instead of it always being patrol & 200 series land cruisers. Nice build well done👍.

The vehicle itself is the 10 year tourer, the set-up inside can definitely be swapped and changed as life and practicality needs change.

Didn't even consider that I might change my mind on what I wanted out of a setup before this video, but I did. You make an excellent point about the view being the same regardless of bells and whistles; we just gotta get out there.

My set up has CHANGEd over the years as the family has grown, now my wife are going out with a 7 seater and a camper trailer so its time to change back the other way - strip out 5 seats and have the kitchen, fridge etc back at the rear - have it the way it suits yoir needs 👍

Absolutely change the setup. You are allowed - it's your rig. In real life, things change; needs change; circumstances change. So therefore a ten year tourer needs to be flexible/modifiable. Everyone changes their setup, especially if you hold onto the vehicle for longer periods.

I'm about to "CHANGE" my setup. Like how you're now thinking of Fred and his comfort. Good work. Setups generally need to change as our families grow or shrink, or our priorities change. I had a stuff it moment once and ripped my 12 volt wiring out to start again, as I went the lithium route and my existing wiring was not up to the task.

Change is really good! Totally recommend changing up the back end to suit your growing family!

I just had a change of vehicle from the xtrail to the Prado. Can't wait for my off-road adventures to begin. Cooking in the bush, can't beat it

As long as the vehicle doesn't change then still counts as the 10-year build, our builds always evolve to our needs, its the base we keep and need to make the real big decision on when buying a truck.

I got a protective coating put on my Prado Grande when I purchased it new in 2006 and it has stood up extremely well in the 17 years since, including Outback Station caretaking and around Oz tripping.

Change whatever you need on the Prado. Needs continually change especially when the family grow and get bigger.
I wouldn't worry if things aren't available after 10 years as products and companies continually change.
Was looking at the celfi and was thinking about the gme antenna also. What conditions do you find it's improved in (specific terrain etc.)

"Change" your set up as you need to, we have and still camp with 3 kids, the more they grow their needs change and so do ours. We just spent a week in Kalbarri in swags, rained the first three days We're now looking at

Kids does put another element into a rear setup but as you said with the cub you don't really need all the stuff in the back anymore, change what you need to suit yourself/family, we've always managed to pack the Tracky with our gear that way the back is open for dog or when we had a baby baby the pram, those days are gone so the dog gets his spot back now were dealing with the middle fitout for those long drives

Love listening to you talk about your rig (which is awesome). I wish there was a way to get your thoughts on the Rivian R1S. I took delivery of mine October 2022 and I absolutely love it. The extra storage in the front truck (where the engine normally goes) and the extra storage in the back where the gas tank normally goes is absolutely brilliant. It already came with 35” tires, but you can change the tire size to your heart’s desire, because there is not gearing to worry about. You can tap into all the electrical power you want, sure it reduces your range…but let’s be real, you’re talking about maybe 3-5 miles for tons of cooking or powering your fridge. You don’t need a diesel heater, you just set the climate control to whatever you want to sleep at. Disadvantages: charging infrastructure (not so bad in the States, especially when you factor in RV camp sites and towing (which I don’t do).
