When something major breaks on any vehicle that only has 150 miles on it, the customer service BETTER be over the top, whoever the dealer is.

Title is misleading. So the only reason you're "done" with it because your wife said so?

The Land Rover is always the best looking vehicle in the shop.

It’s like having a pair of shoes. You like the guy that sold you the shoes, you like the guy that polishes the shoes when they get scuffed up but in the end the shoes hurt your feet. It boils down to how long you can stand the discomfort.

My LR3 was quirky but 100% reliable. My 2012 LR4 was amazing and 100% reliable. My 2021 Defender 110 is perfect and has 50, 000 miles on it and has been 100% reliable.

Owned 4 Land Rover products over the years (Range Rover, Disco, Defender, and Range Rover Sport), not one problem. Owned multiple Mercedes that had multiple issues. Owned a Toyota that blew a head gasket. I guess some of it comes down to luck of the draw. Best to own anything new today with a warranty (more tech comes with many more potential issues).

I’m selling my 2020 LR defender. In the last 6 months it’s been in the shop 3 times. Several days for each repair. Gorgeous vehicle but painful to own. Can’t wait for something else more reliable. The steering failure is downright dangerous. Another time we had a full engine shutdown that left us stranded on the side of a highway at night. Could you imagine if this happened deep in the back country.

I'm 3 months away from 3 years of owning mine. It has been great. Love it.

I m sure your wife absolutely needed an offroader with a snorkel and a roof rack to navigate through the jungle to get your kids from school 😵‍💫

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 welcome to the club 🎉 🎈I couldn’t wait to get rid of my Range Rover Evoque. It was the Best car I ever owned, under warranty. It was the worst car I ever owned, out of warranty. Although if I had money to burn then I’m definitely buying a Defender 130 X 🚙🚗

My wife’s supercharged Range Rover Sport has been rock solid. Zero issues from new to 80k miles. While i do sympathize with the OP, i bet 95% of the people complaining online about reliability have probably never owned them. If reliability was as bad as everyone claims - LR would have been out of business a long time ago.

I don't think Land Rover, as a brand, has ever been proven to be reliable...

Sorry that the Defender didn't work out. Good luck on getting a new vehicle (please post more videos of the car search.... love seeing the struggle involved in finding a new vehicle).

It’s still is status symbol based on looks alone. Rich don’t mind taking it to the dealer and driving their second car while it’s being fixed.

Never take a guy's opinion of a product, with a haircut like that...

Shennanigans.

24k miles on my 2023 Defender 110. ZERO issues. Love it. I drive it like I stole it.

This is why I am hanging on to my 2021 4Runner TRD Pro until one of us dies. No one will ever convince me that these smaller, high-boost turbocharged engines are going to be as reliable as naturally-aspirated engines from quality manufacturers.

Long story short, its great when it’s not broken.

Current defender owner. Had for 3yrs - love it.
Before that disco 4 for 4 yrs - loved it
Before that RR hybrid for 3yrs - loved it.

Over those years, minor issues. People love this LR fear porn. If you get a dud you get a dud. Ive had a recently terrible experience with a Tesla (wont own one again)

Your videos are very entertaining and informative. Appreciate your channel. Consumer perception has inertia and is always a lagging indicator of the actual state of affairs. So no surprise that JLR may generally be more reliable than common opinion would have it, and Toyota less so.
