and that is basically the reason why coaches and coaching staff exists. the pro-players needs to focus on their specific roles, it's the coach's job to pick up the slack and point out things that may not be good in order for the players to make proper adjustments and improve. this not only apply to e-sports but sports in general.

This is 3rd of instance in past few weeks of vids being made centered around claims he made that he never made. It's some bizarre disinformation

I agree that LS views league from an RTS perspective, but about the point on his drafting and how he wants supportive pieces that eat shit and then carries who win the game later, the game has been played like that for a long time anyway, his version is just more extreme, theres finite resources on the map and funnelling certain champs/roles is just better. Certain champs/combos are just busted af in the right situations, for example today in the MAD vs T1 games where T1 shit stomped with Aphelios + tanks + enchanters, it is a similar concept to LS drafting. Do you think the players playing the frontline are having fun? Oner watching Elyoya playing Lee while he's on Maokai for example, or faker playing K'sante? No of course they'd also rather be playing those champs, but they don't care because they win the game.

I think Bwipo nicely explains the difference between LS's approach to the game and how most pro teams approach the game. I always wanted LS to coach a team that was all in on his approach to the game. I think BBQ were the closes to this being the case. But imo for multiple reasons. This will never really happen. That is to say. If it couldn't work with C9 all the players there. It would never work. But that doesn't take anything away from LS. He is still extremely knowledgeable about the game and often comes at things from completely new angles, sometimes discovering new strategies that are then used by everyone even at the highest levels of play.

LS is not wrong, but what he talks about are things you need to practice and VERY SLOWLY add them to yout arsenal. Both what bwipo and ls are doing are very important in everything, theory and practice.

I think the way LS thinks is almost humanly impossible or just the amount of energy is unreasonable to ask from a player. However I don’t think he entirely thinks of league of legends as an RTS style that you pretty much have certain champions carry. I really value his perspective because I feel like there’s a lot of layers to what he says for example when he was an LCS coach maybe it was perceived that is was a carry style comp because soraka and ivern but I saw it more of a battle of attrition. And he also didn’t look at the game in the perspective that healers/shielders can’t deal damage or can’t lane.

Hmm.. never thought of it like that, but I feel more closely aligned to LS's thoughts on drafting rather than an individual level. I am someone that would play the low econ mid because there's like Irelia + Shaco + ADC/enchanter, and if I don't have to play that, I prefer playing the hard scaling champions.

In my impression, LS thinks League has "correct" ways to be played. In many ways, League is an abstract game that can be interpreted in many ways.

LS tends to make a pretty big deal if people's' views on how League "should" be played aren't in alignment with his. He also likes being controversial.

Sounds like the main issue is players want to shine and have good numbers in game. They don’t want to play a supporting role to let another player carry them. Egotistical if you ask me. Happens all the time in solo q too. People pick a carry even though they should pick a tank or enchanter.
