In episode #1975 of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Joe Rogan interviews Dan Flores, a writer and historian who has extensively studied the relationship between humans and animals. The conversation covers a wide range of topics, but one of the subjects they discuss is the domestication of wolves into dogs.

Dan Flores explains that the domestication of wolves began around 30,000 years ago, when humans first started to interact with wolves in a mutually beneficial way. Over time, some wolves began to evolve traits that made them more suited to living with humans, such as a greater tolerance for human presence and a decreased tendency to display aggressive behavior.

As these wolves interbred with each other and with other domesticated wolves, they gradually became the dogs that we know today. Flores notes that the domestication of wolves was not a deliberate process, but rather a natural one that evolved over many generations.

Rogan and Flores go on to discuss the ways in which dogs have adapted to life with humans, and the various roles that dogs have played throughout history, from hunting companions to protectors and even warriors. Overall, the conversation provides a fascinating look at the history of one of humanity's closest animal companions.

I have a murder of crows.I was batching loudly about a key that was missing from its location. The next morning, one of the crows flew over and dropped the key on my head while I was outside.
