Three Stages of Guidance: Based on Prophet Ibrahim’s Example

Almighty Allah says in the Qur’an: “And thus did We show Ibrahim (Abraham) the realm of the heavens and the earth that he would be among the certain (in faith). So when the night covered him (with darkness), he saw a star. He said, “This is my lord.” But when it set (disappeared), he said, “I like not those that disappear.”

First stage 
The first stage is based on the following words: “So when the night covered him (with darkness), he saw a star. He said, “This is my lord.” But when it set (disappeared), he said, “I like not those that disappear.”
The purpose of one’s life is to seek, find, internalize and live the truth. He begins by freeing himself from unworthy concerns. He unshackles his fitrah (inborn disposition for submitting one’s self to and worshipping the Creator), enabling it to function properly and to yearn for the truth.
