Transistor Review

The latest from developer Supergiant Games, Transistor shares plenty of DNA with its predecessor, the popular indie game Bastion. Both are isometric action games, set in colorful, stylized worlds. Both emphasize combat. But Transistor's world and story feel unique. And its combat is fine-tuned, deep and dynamic.

Out of all if the other reviews I've seen for this game, this is the first review that didn't negatively compare the combat to Bastion. Thanks for that.

What are the games negative points? I'm not complaining that it didn't get a perfect score, but if you're to give a game less than a ten then you have to explain where and why points were deducted. You literally said nothing bad about the game at all in the review.

The games probably amazing but it almost seemed like she wasn't allowed to say anything negative.  I also don't imagine she spend much time with it.

i heard this game was really short, like 6 hours. If thats true, i'll have to wait for a price drop. $20 is too much for that short of an experience.

If I had my doubts they're quelled now. Going for the buy.

I fail to see how this review is useful to a consumer. You talk possessively of every action you took in the game, instead of talking to the player or from the player's perspective. You also didn't address any of the negative aspects which led to the score. Only the positives. Unless I failed to understand them in which case I'ts my fault. Still, I felt that everything that the reviewer said can be extracted from a simple sinopsis of the game.

Okay, the combat has great depth and the world has quite good atmosphere.  What else?  And to everyone else; scores only can go so far.  To be honest, I prefer a rating system based on only a few choices like "Recommend" or "Don't recommend."

I think you should do what rev3 is doing with their new rating system, meaning I don't think you(meaning all reviewers not just at polygon) should put a number at the end of the video. Some ignoramus people then later think that a certain game is bad and compare it to a different game in a different genre with either a better or worse rating and start a stupid argument about why that isnt fair. In fact I think that instead at the end, all reviewers should instead write a fact sheet with your professional and consumer wise opinions on a certain game so that people by not just seeing one review can see whether a games is worth the consumers time and money and not see the true artistry of the game itself. "And before I hear the arguments towards what I just said I just want to point out that is all just my opinion on what all game reviewers should do not only because the rating system is broken and that goes for all game reviewers, but because I think thats whats best for the community and all game developers alike."
PLEASE, SPREAD THIS MESSAGE TO ALL GAME REVIEWERS
                                                                                  THANK YOU
