Sir, police inspite giving sign and stamp seal of police station on Xerox or photocopy of our whatever complaint or say even NC (non cognizable ) offence, never enters it in register (long notebook) or in computer. After demise of my mother and when I was expelled out of residing house by my brother in law and his wife cum gang of 6-7 people with assault bleeding oozed out on floor of police station which constable Nalawade had observed and went out saying PSI will be available after 5 pm) PSIJagtap said, there is no any complaint of your mother any time in police station. In this mother's complaint she had added that her son in law's manager had taken away big electric motor which was installed for our well in farm- agriculture field and. had installed on walls of well in agri field of son in law of my mother without taking her fonsent, etc.

im confused why non cognisable offences require courts orders to arrest, being less serious offences?

How can you say cognizable is a grievous offence as in section 477, the punishment is life imprisonment while the case is non cognizable similarly in section 448 the punishment is 1 year but it is a cognizable offence.
