That might be because Britains government currently hasn’t got any talent.

You’ve/we’ve never voted for a prime minister, you vote for your mp and the party votes for their leader…

Id love to hear him heckling in the commons. Always liked his work and enjoyed watching him develop.

He’s so much better as himself than he was at Lee Nelson.

He's absolutely right, and that's without even mentioning the unelected head of state, unelected house of lords, or first past the post voting system for parliament which results in most MPs not having a majority of votes...

Well if Britains Got Talent is any indication of how people vote, it's maybe a good thing 😅

In 302 years of the existence of the office of prime minister we have NEVER voted for one.

Prime minister is a position that is chosen by parliament, not the people.

On the plus side it's encouraging to see how many repliers are correct and actually aware of the electoral system. 👍
Joke success all round really

As an American, and I love British politics. Makes me feel like we're not alone in this chaos.

We don't vote for prime ministers in the UK, this is not America, we vote in a party, that party can change leader as often as they like, both parties do it.

You never vote for the PM. Ever. The PM is the leader of the party that gets the most seats.

You don’t vote for an MP though, you vote for a political party at an election.

British democracy is such that we NEVER vote for our PM. we vote for constituency MP and they form a Government. the PM is the representative of the people not the leader of a nation this is true democracy.

We don’t ever vote for Prime Ministers in the UK. At best we only get to vote for a Member of Parliament. 🇬🇧

We never vote for a Prime Minister. We hold elections for Members of Parliament who then decide who has the support of the majority of them who can form a government. Usually, this is the leader of the party or coalition of parties that holds the majority of seats, but that leader can be changed by the MPs from time to time. That's how it works in the UK
