The Cheetos collab was a real thing, they had the whole thing planned out and ready but forever 21 wanted to launch one and asked for glamlite to do it as an exclusive through their stores, they said no, so forever 21 rushed their own out and glamlite found they didn’t have exclusivity on the collab. Jeffree explained it via his Cheetos review a while back.

The Touch Of Glam owner was acting really bitter about changing the name of the bundle. And basically calling people haters who called it out as inappropriate. Personally I wouldn’t want to use an eyeshadow a year from now that would remind me of a pandemic, and people dying. It’s so tone deaf. I was very disappointed with them.

As someone who went through an anime obsession during my early teen years, that anime-themed palette has a bunch of shade names that range from cringey to questionable to straight up disgusting, and it feels like it comes from a place of wanting to capitalize off of the way anime is fetishized on the internet instead of any real interest in anime. I would rather get literally any other rainbow palette 🤮

I'm not buying as much but since I'm a health-care worker I still have my job but you never know what will happen from day to day and the last thing I need is makeup, BUT I don't know how long I could be without these Video's they help with these scary times and I want you to know that you are A Beautiful woman inside and Out and your greatly Appreciated, and 99% of my money goes to indie brands😘😍😍😍😍

Regarding touch of glam beauty, so many people have died. It’s important to “wash your hands” and many feel the need to hoard right now (those who can), but naming makeup relating in that way to the pandemic we are experiencing feels so so wrong.

I don’t know the details or full story but the owner of Glamlite had mentioned before that she got screwed over either by Riley Rose or by Cheetos when they released their collab as she was already in the process of building this collab and contracts were being created for the trademark. She released this pic in April Fools but the caption said this was their actual prototype of what the palette was gonna look like. I love the Glamlite formula and I love hot Cheetos so I would of definitely bought it! So sad they screwed her over ):

The owner of Touch of Glam released the collection as a mental support for people who are having a hard time, I bought it right away as I totally got what she meant with it. She’s been so sweet to me during my super long month of having the virus and still going through it. I love how she wanted to make a difficult situation a bit lighter by adding some sparkle to it. I’m all for that, but that’s my personal opinion.

I feel like maybe the Touch of Glam owner was trying to use her craft to get her own feelings about what's going on out like a lot of people use art to work through things, but it just wasn't one of those things that was going to go over well with a lot of other people. I might be being naive, but I guess that seems the most likely thing to me, personally.

so quick side note that might help you to differentiate plastic glitter from formulas that brands mislabel as glitter formulas like those 5 beautiful shimmer swatches from a brand i’ve never heard of so don’t remember lol... anyway plastic glitter, 100% of the time will have this, “polyethylene terephthalate” as an ingredient sometimes as just the acronym, “PET.” But i’m actually seeing brands claim some loose pigments that are blindingly reflective with ingredients like mica, silica, titanium dioxide, &/or synthetic fluorphlogopite (aka synthetic mica) which is the dead giveaway that they’re soft, powder-esque formulas with a finish that similar to glitter but organically or chemically speaking are made up from completely different formulaic compositions. trust your instincts about whether it’s glitter or not when you see swatches like those...


TLDR: Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is the legal name for plastic glitter. without the full name or the acronym, you’re more than likely looking at a loose pigment that the brand has mislabeled as glitter to convey the glitter-like effects.

I'm really curious about the Love Lux Beauty quads. I was hoping someone else would try them. Maybe that someone else should be me... I'm pretty sure that if a Vampire Diaries palette came out, it would be so up my alley I would definitely buy it, plus I would have to gift one to most of my friends. Amy, you, might be onto something there!
