Hi Dave. Thank you for putting this together. Really excited to begin learning.

I've got a question. I already have MySQL installed on my laptop. Would I be able to follow along with the tutorial or I have to get T-SQL that is used in the tutorial.

Thks & just a quick naive question:
Background: I'm a retired physicist. I never had time but I always wanted to do simple scientific programming directly within SQL (instead of exporting the data out of SQL into a spreadsheet).
In a nutshell I always wanted to do data flow modeling directly within the SQL database butr never had the spare-time to figure it out. I'm retired now & have time to finally figure this out.
1 ??Does SQL have most the basic math functions found on a typical scientific calculate??
2 If-so, ??Do you see any practical reason I can't do data flow modeling direction within an SQL database???
