With these hot days we take walks early in the morning and late in the evening and the rest of the day they prefer to be inside. It is also very hot inside because we have no air conditioning (because we only have a few hot days a year). As little movement as possible for them.

I have a few simple tips to keep it cooler inside when it's hot and do not have air-conditioning:
- Close the windows if the temperature outside is warmer than inside, otherwise the temperature in your house will just increase (I mention this because I often see people opening the windows when it's hot to get some fresh air or a breeze of wind in de house but sadly this is only going to heat up the house even more).
- Open the windows if the temperature outside is colder than inside to cool down the house, in summer you can often do this early in the morning when it is not too warm yet or later in the evening when it has cooled down enough outside.
- Close all shutters partly and some completely to prevent too much sunlight from entering the house.
