The most impressive thing to me about the French is their appreciation for quality. Food, clothes, etc doesn't need to be fancy nor expensive, but it does need to be well made and aesthetically pleasing. Some of the best meals of my life were simple ham and potato gratins or homemade vichyssoise when I was in France. I found I didn't need to overeat like I do in America because I was so satisfied by what I had.

I have visited France three times. Their food is divine. Once I had some street food, a Breton Crepe with lovely cheese. Another time, having a salad with just a bit of chicken and a very tasty vinaigrette. The French believe in food that is fresh, locally grown and prepared simply. This is a lovely reminder of my travels. Your mother is delightful! Thanks very much.

Absolutely loved this! As a woman in my late 40s particularly enjoyed this. She could have a full channel of her own. Wonderful.

I spent some time in the south of France (Corrèze) last year and it was by far the culinary experience of a lifetime. I ate each meal to my heart's content and came back to North America having lost weight! The quality of food is astronomically superior to what you will find in Canada and the USA. In France, I was no longer lactose intolerant and no longer bloated when eating bread, which I did every day! Well done, this brought back so many great memories, especially that fresh baguette!

❤ I am living at a hospital residence lodge for cancer treatment for the next few months. One way I’ve been killing time is learning to cook. I’m going to make every one of these recipes this week.
Thank you for the great recipes that are easy enough for a newbie with limited energy. ❤

Absolutely love your mum. So elegant, graceful and just comes across as so kind. And if I look like her when I am close to my 60s, I’ll be one happy woman / safe to say, your channel is fast becoming my all time fave on YouTube

Moderation: I grew up with european influences. My mom was born in the states. The rest of family were from Russia, England, Wales. Etc. NO PROCESSED food were in our house! Cooking from scratch. Lovely. Your mom looks stunning. Merci

Much respect to your mother who is a very gracious and beautiful lady who knows very well how to eat and take care of herself. I am Italian and when your mother said there can never be enough "Olive Oil" - I totally agree.

I love the videos with your Mama. She's the epitome of French elegance, class, beauty. I'll definitely be trying the Nicoise salad and the potato dinner as well. Love her cucumber/ginger/lime water idea and how in typical French style the meals are prepared from scratch and even the simplest meals look like works of art. I remember travelling in France years ago and watching an elderly man eat a hard boiled egg. He made that most simple meal a study in elegance and enjoyment. Merci Beaucoup to your Mama.

My mom is also a gorgeous woman. Her diet is quite different, but still super healthy. Lots of legumes (lentils, beans, chickpeas), vegetable soups, salads, rice, eggs, olive oil of course and lots of water.

My mother was from Carignan France and she was the best cook! Iam half French. Growing up i ate some pretty strange foods such as escargot, frog legs, rabbit and many other things that my American friends never would consider eating. My mom is gone now and I miss her.

Love your Mom! I’m an American but went to the Sorbonne for university & worked in Paris after graduation. It’s where I learned to eat properly & enjoy great food. A Salade Niçoise is always my go to. Please sharpen Mamman’s knives!!!

I really like this video where the meals are typical and simple. I don't care for the meals made by chefs who make such a big production out of it. And I like how your mom estimates the measurements and can alter the ingredients when she doesn't have some of them on hand. Thank you for sharing.
