Filmed on July 30, 1968 and aired on Experiment in Television. I was skating on the ice pond down the hill with my transistor radio hearing Hey Jude at number one! Ah...memories...

I love how they all are like siblings to each other. After one of the recordings Ringo, and John had a bit of a joke. Ringo said: “I keep getting me trousers caught on the pedal.” John: “Take em off then.” Ringo: “I think I will.”

Always fun to see the process. The key is to know when it still needs work when you're doing originals. George Martin was a genius in knowing how to push the boys to keep refining it until the finished product was as good as it can be. The many versions of Hey Jude were pretty bad, but the end result was one of the best songs ever.
