Omg thank you. This actually solved my problem. I wasn’t able to press start for some reason but after restarting my laptop I went back to services and it suddenly was on start already and now the app opens again and I can finally get back to playing the Sims! But exactly what is this background service used for besides starting the app? I can't find any info on that. Looks like spyware to me.
