Bredesen Says He Tried to Ignore Party Affiliation

Phil Bredesen says he has tried throughout his tenure to turn a blind eye toward his appointees' political affiliations. However, some Tennessee state senators say the Democratic governor failed to appoint the necessary number of Republicans to the Tennessee Board of Regents.
