Writing lists is my coping mechanism, it is calming to me. Doesn't have to be about any thing, just writing a list of places I have lived, or list of my crhistmas decorations, or a list of things i want to buy, things i need to do. It doesn't matter, its the act of sitting down and make a list that is calming, the writing and focusing on the list and clearing it out of my mind, the feeling of organizing. When feeling anxious and overwhelmed, go write a list.
