SCARY but TRUE Space Facts pt.2 🚀🐾
In the early days of space exploration, animals such as dogs and chimpanzees were used as test pilots. Many of them returned alive from exploration, but some didn't make it and died on entering the atmosphere. Some spacecraft never returned. So it is possible that they are still out there, orbiting space forever in dead spaceships.

For anybody who wants a legitimate, creepy, and frankly terrifying space fact, we have absolutely no idea how many people the Russians sent into space just for them to die one way or another because they were the first people to get anybody into space. The thing is though, and the reason why it took the US a lot longer was we actually put a lot more time effort and thought into how to get those people back down safely and alive. Where the Russiansat the time just considered the manpower to be well expendable. And because of the secrecy of the Soviet Union and the lack of record keeping and how so much stuff was kind of just thrown to the wayside when the Soviet Union dissolved, we only know of one or two that can actually be confirmed, one of which you can actually go and hear burn-up in the upper atmosphere on YouTube because their emergency communications were captured by an amateur radio operator. I believe somewhere in South America, but don't quote me on that. And it's one of the very few and frankly only examples and glimpses into the Soviet space program that we actually got
