Scary but true fact about space part 3!
In the early days of space exploration, non-human test pilots were shot up into space regularly,
sometimes with no thought of how they might return.
some of the dogs, chimps, mice, cats, frogs, and other animals returned safely.
Some died on reentry or landing, but some flew on crafts that have never been recovered.
So they are likely to still be up there, perpetually preserved, floating in dead spacecrafts orbiting the earth.

If anyone does not know about laika, here’s the story.

This female dog was sent to space in a dog-sized air craft. Everything was going well untill the air craft malfunctioned. It got really hot in there and she just had to sit in there untill her death. She was never found (supposed) rip laika.

I can't believe how people have the courage to test anything but themselves. Especially the animals who just got left in space and imagine being tested for stuff but never returning

I work in a museum that’s all about space and I’ve learned all about the poor animals that were sent into space. It hurts my heart

It’s absolutely sick that people have such careless hearts. My heart breaks for those poor babies that went through that. And rest in piece to those poor souls that unfortunately weren’t properly cared about. Words can’t describe how cruel this is and how truly sorry I am that they done this to them ❤😔

No, they’ll be burned to a crisp in the atmosphere. When something is in orbit it eventually slows down and enters the lower parts of the atmosphere (unless it’s orbiting over 10, 000 km above sea level)

Without course correction on trajectory, these "spacecraft" which is a lose term, considering none of them actually exited earth's atmosphere; as it extends well beyond our furthest satellites, they've most definitely reentered and burned up
