Adelanto Detention Facility may close in 2024

Activists are calling on local elected officials to permanently close the Adelanto Detention Facility while authorities with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are currently assessing the future of the contract it has with the company that runs the prison. Start with closing Adelanto, then on to the GEO facilities in El Centro, San Diego, Bakersfield and McFarland, California. Trump spoke about closing these private prisons during his first term and I'm hoping he continues his effort during his second term.
