New rules for L.A. County jail

A federal judge has signed an order restraining L.A. County sheriffs from holding anyone in inmate reception for more than 24 hours. The order comes after a civil rights group called Los Angeles jail conditions “barbaric.”

Someone that's been incarcerated and changed his life has remembered those so-called transport sections. Its hell trust..!!! And I know what you're thinking but those are people that are INNOCENT until proven not just the guilty...

No meds... I got 2 Burritos that were Nasty...
And they pushed me Around and Hurt me....

Wow and now what are they going to feed them caviar salmon lobster if you get arrested it’s because you’re a criminal if you’re in jail it’s because you’re a criminal now criminals are going to have more rights than the people who work honestly every day they wake up at 4 or 5 in the morning to go to work

I spent 13 days in intake. That place is worse than any prison I've ever been in

Ive met people who were in LA county and they claimed to often flood the toilets and showers to keep the jail having to waste money on repairs. They also said after a while the delay to repair the clogged pipes took longer each time. So, inmates are also to blame.

And inmates often refuse to eat the meals after a while and if they can't buy their own food or get a package they need to do chores and helps other inmates as compensation.

Jail and prison... they are designed not to be a resort... it supposed to be a deterrent. It is designed not to be nice... if you want the luxury of home dont commit crimes.

We are not safe in our city with these new policies. Mis- Management of our taxes by our local government is no excuse to put the public safety at risk
