*a little known fact:* he actually plays to a click track but instead of it being audible the tempo is sent through electronic impulse via diodes directly to the drummers spine, thus causing him to spazz controllably to keep on perfect time. it looks crazier when more extreme styles of music are played. this is really how the "headbang" started.

Though The Helio Sequence clearly deserves success orders of magnitude above their current status, a part of me is happy to accept them just as they are: a band who's stunning music speaks to my soul. Other bands that I adored reached mainstream success and lost a little of that personal connection, where I can easily see The Helio Sequence being a band I'll enjoy just as much for the rest of my life.

Love The Helio Sequence. Saw them about 4 or 5 years ago in Sacramento. Unfortunately I ate a REALLY potent pot brownie and I was so baked I had to sit down for the whole performance. So I didn't get to see the performance though I enjoyed hearing it, lol.
