Lucerne, Switzerland

According to Tripadvisor Lucerne was voted the fifth most popular tourism destination in the world in 2010. Not bad for a city of only 75,000 people. My video is mainly of Old Town, which includes the Chapel Bridge, Reuss River, Rathausquai, Mill Bridge and Lake Lucerne. At the end of the video I journey over to the Lion Monument.

My husband and I just returned September 8th, 2014 from Lucerne and a tour of Switzerland with Tauck Tours.  IT WAS AWESOME!    I could live there and be happy.   It is truly one of the best places on earth and the water is so pure you can drink it anywhere.  Thank you for this video.  The most beautiful flowers and swans along the Chapel Bridge are a delight.

This brings a tear to my eye! My boyfriend is from Lucerne and we went back to Switzerland in July 2012 to visit his parents and his friends... such a pretty place, and the people there are so nice! I will go back for Xmas and New Year this year. Can't wait for it!! Thanks for the video. These are images that are burnt to my brain but so nice to see it in a video!

I was lucky enough to go there on an impulsive whim while I was in Zurich on a business trip. What a lovely place, and a trip on the lake topped off an amazing experience.

Hey- I'm thinking of going to Switzerland, I would like to fly into Zurich and get the train to Lucerne, onto interlaken, then Berne and perhaps someplace else but it is very very expensive- so i am now reluctant to go. I'm European myself- do you have any tips to save money or even to make such a trip possible?? Geneva I here is a horrible rip-off!!
