Lucerne Switzerland - Voted #1 City in Switzerland

Lucerne has been voted the MOST BEAUTIFUL CITY in Switzerland and for very good reason. Set right on Lake Lucerne, this city has the most spectacular buildings that are filled with elaborate murals and let's not forget the iconic chapel bridge with flowers across the river. One of the best day hikes in Switzerland is only 40 minutes away called Stoos Ridge Hike. Here you take the stoosbahn which is the steepest funicular in the world with a 110% grade. This Stoos hike has some of the best views in all of Switzerland and can be done in a couple hours. Another iconic thing to do is ride up to Mount Pilatus which is a 360 degree view looking over Lucerne. The weather was bad so we opted out of this but can't wait to go back

I remember the covered bridge in Lucerne. It is unique. I never made it up to the elevated mountain hike. Next time. Try the lake cruise all day get way to Italy. It is just breathtaking. Thanks for the treat of your visit. Brown Swiss cows are so gentle.
