Any media recordings out there of Mamoa and Heard when they appeared for the Aquaman movie promotions ckearly show how Mamoa does not like being near Heard. He practically pushes her away when she tries to move in close for paparazzi photos.
He also ripped pages out of the back of books she was reading. I cant see him thinking that's a fun prank to play on someone he likes. It sounds more like he was trying to get her goat for real under the guise of a prank. I do not thonk he was dressing to get her upset, maybe he just tweaked his personal style a tiny bit because hey, it was easy to not do for the result! I also think AH made a pain out of herself for him and everyone related to filming Aquaman.
He was not going to allow a pretty face mess with his well-being, because he saw her inner ugly.
