This vid took me back down memory lane to my college days. 2 college buddies of mine, one having a modded Xbox and the other having a modded PS2 were roommates. Me and another friend of ours would be gaming on a daily and nightly basis when we didn't have school related stuff to do.
Back then in the early 2000s, Blockbuster Videos was booming. We would go there to rent games and burn (copy) the hell out them jokers onto rewritable discs. I miss that era where u could do that 😂😂😂

Wow, amazing mods. I still use my softmodded 2TB v1.6 today. Sprayed the case ice white. Coin ops massive installed and of course xbox classic titles and some movies. Still great as outputs HD via component in 720P. Menus can do 1080 but video wont play and memory can run out. I still like to connect to my 14 inch crt for authenticity! Great times thanks wicked!!!

Great vids as always WG. I have one of these, modded bymyself way back when xecuter released these panels and chips. Resprayed the whole system and added some LEDs last year after pulling it out of hibernation. Now sits proudly on my retro console stand next to my CRT. It's still one of my all time fav systems. That dashboard looked pretty sweet, similar to the Aurora dash from xb360. Cheers for the vid bro 😁

I really like my original Xbox. 128 MB RAM, OpenXenium mod chip and LCD display, and a 1TB hard drive with Xbox games, Coinops, and a bunch of emulators. Using XBMC4Gamers as my front end. What is so great is the amount of ongoing development of mods for this console. Want HDMI output? No problem. Want to use wireless Xbox360 controllers? No problem. Want an OLED display instead of LCD? You can do it.

Bought one already pre hardmodded (v1.1 TSOP flashed) with the optical drive still working and a SATA 2TB HDD.
Currently, I have a collection of 848 OG Xbox games and some Homebrew apps to run retro stuff like you have shown here.
With a bit more storage space, we could actually have the entire OG Xbox library inside the console's hard drive (997 games). Curse the 32-bit limitations 😁

I have the same front panel on my Xbox, that i had bought back then. This front panel alone is highly sought after and is worth a lot nowadays.
2 years ago I found a xbox on a flea market for 5€. Modded it with a cheap aladin chip and put a 500 gb HD. A fantastic retrogaming platform.

So damn sexy! I also have a Hard/Soft modded OG with a 3rb HDD (to reach the 2tb cap) and the 128 mb RAM upgrade to run Chihero. Thousands of great games to play. I have to use the HD A/V pack (HDMI solutions have been fuzxy), but there seems to be quite a few HDMI mods out now! I love that LED screen! Very nostalgic!

I remember “Dead or Alive 3”/“Ninja Gaiden” and “Forza Motorsport” that showed Besides “Halo”how impressive powerful the “OG Xbox”was against “Sony’s PlayStation 2” and “Nintendo’s GameCube”.(I never played “Blinx”But I always found that game kinda intresting)

That's pretty damn awesome! I used to love my hacked xbox, Burnout takedown was my go to game on it. May have have to pick up another one if anything just to play that game again lol
