Όπως αναφέρουν Συριακά μέσα ενημέρωσης και αναμεταδίδουν ειδησεογραφικές ιστοσελίδες του Ισραήλ, οι Ισραηλινές ένοπλες δυνάμεις, με την χρήση τεθωρακισμένων αρμάτων μάχης, ισοπέδωσαν στην κυριολεξία, παρατηρητήριο που βρισκόταν στα σύνορα με την Συρία και το οποίο χρησιμοποιούσαν μέλη της φιλοιρανικής οργάνωσης Χεζμπολάχ αλλά και μέλη άλλων φιλοιρανικών ομάδων.
