After finding out the clutch in the 2015 Subaru WRX was slipping on the dyno, I immediately reached out to SDMotorworks and ordered a new clutch and flywheel. In this video I walk you through the installation of my new Competition Stage 4 6 Puck Clutch and Exedy Lightweight flywheel in my 2015 Subaru WRX

Tim is the real MVP here such clean handwork and he is so gentle with the car unlike other mechanics that gives you heart pain when they smash their way into your car!

Tim reminds me of Calvin but more experienced and can do more advanced installations. I need a Tim In my life.

When doing this job it is recommended to replace the rear main seal to avoid removing the engine again when the time comes to replace the seal.
Also, Stage 4 pressure plate: Fro Stage 2 and up the fork has to be replaced for an stronger one. The oem fork could bend or break where the slave cylinder pushes.

This video blew my mind! I'm about to get a WRX and thought about doing clutches on it myself down the road along with other maintenance. I never thought about pulling the engine. Thanks!

Ive binged watch a few of your vids man, awesome backyard mechanic stuff. I'm 42. I've had my black 17 lancer 5 speed for a year and I put a seat in mine mañana. I am thankful for guys like you bro.

you used an old style T/O bearing with an open bearing style. The oem version 2 has a sealed bearing and might be more longer lasting.

Amazing how far you've come with your car. I remember when I started watching your channel a truck had just backed up onto your hood and from there on it has just snowballed into so many mods. Enjoy yourself out there in Cali. Keep up the great vids.

Dustin... The Evil Twin has the ACT lightweight flywheel and HAD the COMP 6puck clutch... It was quite a pain to daily... and damn heavy. Very On and OFF... should have skipped the flywheel.. too That clutch can take a beating tho... I did almost 27 Passes at the drag strip on the 550whp tune before it started giving out... HOT PASSES... there was no line. I ran, got back in the box and ran again... after that it started giving out but still got me home 30 miles away. TIP : 2k RPM is what the clutch likes for daily.

Now would've been a good time to upgrade your pitch stop mount if you didn't already. That would help with throttle response a bit.
