Subaru WRX STI | IAG Performance AOS Street Install DIY

Finally got around to installing my IAG Performance Street AOS! When I get around to building the motor and tuning the car, I'll convert the street kit to the competition version! I know it's a long video, so below on the Pinned comment, so ***USE THE PINNED COMMENT AS A TABLE OF CONTENTS*** :)

Instructions I followed (I reference both .pdf's because the photographs were different due to my old bracket):

- @2:40 : Disconnect the battery with 10mm socket

- @3:29 : Remove hoses from oil line with needle nose pliers

- @3:54 : Remove intercooler. use 12mm socket.4 bolts total. 2 bolts mount the bypass valve to the intercooler. 2 hold the intercooler to a mounting brack. 1 of the bolts is block by sound generator tube. remove the sound generator tube (not sure what size socket you need).

- @4:25 : Loosen turbo and throttle body coupler clamps.


- @7:50 : remove oil breatherline from intercooler. 10mm socket

- @8:13 : Remove breather hoses (Passenger & Driver side). On each side there are 2 hoses next to each other. You are removing the ones that are closer to the front of the car on each side. Follow the hoses that were once attached to the solid oil breather line attached to the intercooler. Passenger side breather port is shown @9:20 & driver side is shown at @9:58

I have a 2015 STi, just spent 10 hours from 12:30 to 10:30. Despite that long time ur video made it way way easier, the instructions IAG gives is absolute dogshit so thank god for this thorough video. Thanks. (P.S I would’ve been done at about 4 o’clock but the silicone elbow coupler was so hard to get back on)

i cant believe these dont come on these cars stock. My car has 20k miles on it and when i had to pull my intercooler off to i was actually pretty upset about how much blowby was in the hoses. Subaru needs to step their game up. STi's cost almost 40k brand new and they cheap out on stuff that is critical to your engine running properly

I had a hell of a time getting that turbo to intercooler hose back on due to the AOS drain hose being in the way. Highly consider finding another way to route it.

Thanks for the video this has been a life saver. I'm almost to the part of routing wires but I can't figure out how to mount the wiring harness to the new bracket they make you install.

I just installed my IAG AOS on my 17 STI and it was actually a pain in the ass. If it wasn't a motor saver I wouldn't have touched it. Snapped a throttle body bolt along the way also so I had to order a new flange bolt from subaru lol spent 74 cents on the bolt and spent $40 to over night it because it's my daily and that was 4 days ago, still no bolt "they're on back order" 😐
