Palestine Talks | Chris Hedges on the moral corruption of Israel and the “savagery” of violence

In this episode of Palestine Talks, we speak to writer and activist Chris Hedges as he discusses the philosophical nature of the evil underlying Israel’s violence against the Palestinian people, and the radical dehumanisation of Palestinians based on his own troubling experience covering stories in war zones.

As Hedges points out, this reflects how such media including outlets that enjoy a “liberal” or “progressive” reputation like The New York Times “embraces American militarism”, contemptuous of both human life and the possibility of peace grounded in actual principles of justice.

His eloquence, humility, honesty and professionalism are second to his humanity and fight for justice for humanity. Our world needs more people like Chris Hedges.

When a man like sir Chris Hedges manages to touch the culminating point in the Israeli Palestinian “conflict” in few minutes and even manage to talk about other conflicts and wars it means he’s a genius this stuff and analyses is of Henry Kissinger essence but it’s 10 times better because unlike him Chris Hedges in not a hypocrite and spin doctor like Henry

I really enjoyed this interview. It is not the first time I have seen Chris Hedges speak. I saw him speak at a church in Ottawa, Ontario many years ago. I also have a few of his books. Very insightful!! He is a Christian, theologically trained, a former war correspondent (I always think their views are important!) and jaded enough to know the human condition is not pretty. I commented earlier, but I did not mention, I stopped this interview several times to back it up to revisit what he said. I had quite an impact. Thanks to TRT for this interview of a North American Christian and journalist that is increasingly being marginalized. The powers that be will continue to try and they may succeed, but some of us are already on to them. We are listening, Chris! Keep up the good work brother!! :)
