Angle drive a vital and fragile part of your brushcuter, the angle drive connects the shaft of the brushcutter to the cutting element, i.e. the trimmer head or the blade of the brushcutter.
The angle drive contains gears and bearings that must be greased to ensure its continued operation. Along with impacts, lack of lubrication is one of the main causes of damage to the part.

Good video. I ended up using Stihl FS lube on my Husky. Bearings started making noise and needed something fast. Think I got it lubed in time to prevent damage.

Thank you for the video ! I got new Husqvarna 555 RXT. And I noticed that the gearbox is hitting too much. Fortunately I use the machine only maybe half an hour. I did add grease lubricant. The instructions are very vague. Can it be too much grease ? I had so much that gears are flooded…

Do you have to pull the whole head off to check/add grease? What type of.grease you using? Husky brand grease?

Hi. I measured the compression on my Husqvarna 545 RX and it had shown 105 PSI. Is that normal? It seems preety low to me. Could you do a compression test to yours, so that I have a refference? Thanks.

I have a stihl trimmer fs 56 rc that has NO grease plug on the gear box.

yes I bought it new this way. I see replacements have the plug. it does get hot after an hour or so trimming or brush cutting.
Ive had it a few years and it spins fine and no noise, But no place to grease it?

should I replace the bearbox or drill & tap this box to accept a Zirc?
