This is EXACTLY what I am working on for my van for when I head out to Huntsville. Just for fun. So far, I have a small 12V minipc running Linux with Direwolf and a Baofeng. Connected to wifi on my phone, should be work great. I currently have this running connected to my external discone and it has been running for 3+ weeks. No issue.

What do you mean by you have internet in your truck? Like do you use a verzion 5g hotspot or something like that?

I’m going to assume you’re planning on making a direwolf setup. You should check out the Microsat stuff also.

You have to understand that the casual viewer doesn’t understand a word you just said. It’s like another
Language. It’s almost comical how truck was the only word that made sense to English speakers. Rabbit hole😊
