I started purchasing realestate with my VA loan in 2018 and had 20-30k in savings. Speed up 2024 ive used it 4 times, 3 of which i refi'd out of to a conventional loan fixed 2.75%+- 30 yr and all mortgages pay off my primary except for $375 of the total 2450 a month 6% loan purchased last year. I plan to live in this house for 2 yrs to reduce capital gain tax and refi out to conventional loan in 2026 putting 150k into the loan and rent it out for roughly 850-1000k / month profit. Ill reuse my VA loan to hopefully purchase a forever home or a multi-unit investment property . I should net 12k+ a month on rentals, SS income, and traditional investment income in my 60s, hopefully slowing down in my 50s and stopping work entirely by 60. I started with 20-30k when i was 30. Today at 38, i have on paper 600k +- and 150k liquid because of real estate. Keep hustling folks 💯💪

I could honestly purchase 3 homes from under 766k in my area. My question is. Does that 12 month requirement apply to the second or even 3 home? All the would be rentals, since I already own a home in the area.

Dang bro I need to lock in with you ! I stay a few hours away in McAllen Texas. I used my first VA loan a year ago and now I’m looking to buy my second at the age of 24. The only thing stopping me is the uncertainty of how things work, if possible id like to contact you about more stuff

I’m currently in the process of looking to buying a second property. I’m on the fence of freeing up my entitlement so I can buy a quadplex or just using the second entitlement to buy a regular single family home. I’m trying to weight my options. Any recommendations or insight?

We purchased a home 40 years ago using my husband’s VA loan. At that time we were told you could only use your VA loan once. Recently I saw an article where someone said they had 2 VA loans. Have things changed? Can we use the VA loan again? We sold that first house many years ago.

Is there a way to flat out buy a rental property so we don't have to live in it for a year first? Both my husband and I have the VA Home Loan benefits, so my question is could one us buy a home to live in and the other buy a rental property right off the bat?

I wached twice, and still dont if I can get 2nd property, VA stipulated that we can only have one property unless you restored your benefit.

Great info but I’ve been told that it has to be in a different states in order to do this or can you have two va loans in the same county if the county loan limit allows it??
