OMG...Thank you Lord‼️ This sooo needs to be talked about, because my blood boils when I CONTINUE to see and hear about the exclusionary racist practices in this country where African-American chefs are being denied access to the multitude of LUCRATIVE opportunities in the culinary world today. One of the most blatant and racially offensive for me personally was Aaron McCargo, Jr., the world-class culinary professional, who used to be on the Food Network. His show "Big Daddy's House" was dropped. Next time I see him, he's selling kitchen cooking utensils on QVC! 😮 But, many of McCargo's contemporaries (the White boys) have got their own product lines of cookware w/ infomercials to sell it, food products, spin-off shows because they were on Top Chef, etc., and are now making MILLIONS! If it weren't for the Black women who cooked for their families and the series of high-end cookbooks published by Time-Warner in the early 70's, the average White American housewife would still be buying the taped together cans of LaChoy® Chicken Chow Mein from the supermarket, thinking they were "doin' something" I'm a Prime member and I did not know anything about the documentary, "Ghosts In America's Kitchens". I'm immediately going to find this film on what this Black man just revealed about the HISTORY of fine dining in America and the role African-American's played in it!
"Ghosts in America's Kitchens" THANK YOU again, Sir. And MAJOR kudos to for posting THIS‼️❤
