I love this show with Daniel. As a part of our homeschooling curriculum for the Fall we plan on doing something like this with our 10 year old. He's been showing more interest in cooking and in the kitchen, so this is perfect as reference! ✌️

I’m just blown away. I can’t believe I just learned all these recipes in under 10 minutes. I appreciate you guys so much. I’m in L.A. and finding it so hard to make ends meet with the high prices and inflation. This will make my life so much easier. You have no idea what it means to me. Thank you 🙏 btw your son has a great voice. He should do some voice over work. 👍

Nice to see Daniel - what a great kid, you must be proud. Great meals - I find I eat a lot of this stuff because I like it, not necessarily due to budget - that's just a bonus 😀. Also vegan, I add a lot of veggies, fruits & nuts to meals of course, but in a tight spot, having shelf stable foods like these meals are very handy 😀.

Recently used lentils (1st time using them) & some finely chopped mushrooms 🍄 instead of beef in my pasta sauce. I couldn't tell that it was meatless!

This is wonderful! Daniel is an excellent presenter 👍

I rarely ever go in the Dollar Tree. But seems I need to check them out more often. I had no idea they would carry Almond milk.
I never would have thought to put brown rice and pineapple together..for a salad. That looks so good.

That's A LOT of GOOD food for $20!!!

This week I made a large crockpot of veggie soup from fresh garden produce - zucchini, yellow squash, onion, tomatoes, basil, carrots..I was going to put cabbage in also but there was no room...lol..- it made 4 quarts of soup. And I just pickled a gallon of beets tonight.

I keep reading about food insecurity in the US, which is heart breaking.
Tonight your meals and $20 shows there is hope for those struggling.

Dehydrate tomatoes, and other veggies, great way to store for the winter, Iturn the tomatoes to a powder, will last a long time

Frugal is also picking fresh greens by wildcrafting outdoors, whenever available, and by growing veggies in your own house through the winter. I have parsley, with lots of swiss chard and malabar spinach climbing on tomato cages, growing by my windows and sliding door, (almost south-facing for some sun.) Find a few wildcrafting youtube videos and watch them several times, and practice recognizing the ones/weeds growing near you, which are edible. Also being attentive to recognition details, taste test small quantities. You can even dry some for use in the doldrums of winter.

I think I may try a few of these. Thank you for helping me think about putting something’s together that I wouldn’t have thought to combine. Worth trying for sure.

Love that you showed these meals. People need to see that eating vegan and vegetarian is not expensive. I would love to see more of the recipes you cook for your family. I like the bolognese sauce. I have to try that. Great to see you cooking with your son.

A vegan, I am not. However, I eat about 85% plant based low carb diet. I was surprised with the negative comments from folks that know you are vegan. What I don't understand is, if folks have nothing nice, supportative or positive to say, why do they have the need to say anything. I will never read any more of the comments. Thank you for sharing with us, how your family eats. Blessings.
