I had a psa. That went from 4 to 7 in over two years. Of course the first thing they wanted me to do is a MRI. That came back as a two on the scale. Which was good news, but then they wanted to do a biopsy. Just got the results from the biopsy. It was all benign. Now I'm going to get a holep. 😊

How useful is it to monitor PSA when 25% of gland has tumor, 25% has chronic prostatitis and 50% is benign? Do the levels with chronic prostatitis cloud the numbers from the tumor. My PSA currently ranging from 7.4-9.2 over a 6 month period.

In Canada some family doctors aggressively try to dissuade you from getting a psa test.
