Hi. Can you leave the ring app open with a live view on the screen without it closing the app? I’ve got an echo 5 and it always closes the app and goes back to the home screen after a few minutes. Thanks!

Great video of this.. can you please tell me what version is Echo Show 8 is.. 2nd or 3rd gen. Also, what's the Rings version as well. I have the Ring 3 version. I am considering getting the Echo Show 8 2nd version, I have noticed the loading camera is a bit slow on other YouTube videos, as I see in this video this loads up much faster.

Question: Do you need to have a Ring subscription to be able to receive motion detection notifications? I saw people complaining about this on Amazon, but not sure if it's true.

My goal is to have a doorbell automatically show the live feed on my Echo Show 8 when motion is detected, and I'd rather not have to pay for a subscription to do it
