Echo show 8, never had any problems with it. I bought a 10 and have had nothing but so for that hefty price tag and shredded nerves, I recommend echo show 8.

I bought the show 10 as I wanted a bigger screen, I use the show 10 in my bedroom as I don't have a TV in the bedroom so having the bigger screen is great to watch Netflix and prime and it's great the screen can move for best viewing angle wherever I am in the room

The show 8 can also be used as a security camera in much the same way as a show 10 but without the movement and also you don’t need to drop in to use it as it will show as a camera in devices in the Alexa app.

It's stated in specs that the 8 has virtual assistance & 10 doesn't. Your thoughts on difference. TIA

Show 10 will be good in the kitchen with its tracking movement while you’re cooking. I’ll go with the show 8

I was going to return my show8 and get the 10 but I’m reading the comments saying there’s bugs and glitches with it so if I want something like that that moves and everything I’ll probably wait until they make another one where they got all those bugs fixed also I paid $84 in American dollars and got a free blink camera with it now The 10 was 200 but that’s still a lot

Does anyone know if the physical cover over the camera is actually just translucent to other wavelengths of light? allowing sensors that operate outside of the visible light spectrum to maintain observation

Don't waste your money. The machine is a big con ! Use your money to buy something useful. I have owned one for over a year. It is a piece of expensive rubbish !!
