Three days of cardio, three days of resistance training and a day of yoga completes my work out schedule. Always end the workout with a ten minutes of yoga postures. As I am a vegetarian all my protein are plant based. My health is excellent. Thanks for the video. I am retired and I do not have any excuse not to workout. I am also a backyard gardener.

True. It’s just a matter of incorporating it to one’s routine. My husband goes to the gym every morning.

I think your videos are inspiring! I like Mark's goal to be physically independent at 90! I also like that after retiring (yes, I do see you as retired even though you have chosen to stay engaged and relevant turn this YouTube channel) that you have goals, and use strategies to reach those goals.

In the employed years, I never had to exercise because I couldn't afford to pay someone to do all the physically demanding repairs, maintenance, projects, etc., others paid to have done for them. Six hours a day, M - F and 12-16 hour days on weekends. Now with more massive construction, masonry, etc., projects diminishing, I started doing formal exercises for strength, agility, flex/stretch, cardio, especially in winter to supplement. I don't like doing formal exercises as nothing else gets done besides staying fit. Wasteful of expended energy and food as not building a wall or something as well. But I find watching documentaries on some aspects of nursing home life, to be good incentives for doing physical activities to stay fit.

No Gyms for me... I live 30 minutes away from the closest Gym or YMCA. Wish it was closer. I do walk 3.2 miles every day for 5 days a week and do some stretching and small weight lifting at home, wearing ankle/wrist weights while doing housework. I live on a mini farm and have to lift 40 pound bags of feed and carry 5 gal buckets of water so keeping strong is a necessity. I also rest in the deep Asian squat position 3 to 4 times a day. This Summer I've been able to go to the local pool 5 miles away and am swimming laps. It is a mental challenge to keep motivated.

Great content and ideas! Also, for the walkers out there, consider adding a weighted vest. The extra weight really boosts the effort required.

I switched from mostly from running to calisthenics 14 years ago. I am 67 and I gained 20lbs. I was very skinny and really needed to gain weight. Even with that I only weigh 155-160lbs at 5-10.

Ok. I need to get a ring as you mention or an Apple Watch. I don’t know what one would be best.
