As a Mexican, it is not very safe at night, but it really depends on the state and area you are, if it is touristic is more laid back. It really depends, no country is 100% safe.

Canada enjoys the true form of all four seasons, so it kills in weather. But it's debatable, I suppose, for sun-seekers which most would lean toward. I would give points to Canada for everything but food. If you go to the three biggest cities, the winter is relatively mild. It's much worse Chicago than in Vancouver, for example. The nightlife might not be as exciting as Mexico during spring break, but it is a hell of a lot safer. And Canada has Rush, The Tragically Hip, The Guess Who, BTO, April Wine, Triumph, Platinum Blonde, Cowboy Junkies, Loverboy, Biff Naked, Barenaked Ladies, Blue Rodeo, The Northern Pikes, The Band, Chilliwack, Red Rider, Bryan Adams, Crash Test Dummies, Sarah McLachlan, etc.

i had mexico for the first two but canada for the last 3 without a doubt. weather is arguable too. if you’re a beach person who likes getting skin cancer from 120 degree weather go to mexico but if you are the type who’d like a vacation to a log cabin in the mountains then go canada

I moved to Mexico (Guadalajara) at 19 years old. Now, 23, and I love it. I go back to America twice a year for family, but it’s amazing here. The women here too, my god.
