Okay so I watched this video the other day just because it appeared in my recommendations. But then yesterday, it was apparently time to take my staff photo for the volunteer place 📸 so these tips and tricks really came in handy! And I was surprised at how nice and natural my photo actually turned out! 😮😀 Even I didn't have any objections to it! 😅

Your best subject, and what a delightful way to show it off! This will bring good feelings to many. I don't do (haven't done yet) any portrait shooting, but it came very internally to say to think something nice, something you like, someone you love etc. So it's about relaxation, getting the focus / mind off the (unnatural) moment, getting playful, enjoying the session (time shared), etc. etc. And the MONEY works, plus who doesn't like money (ladies especially)? I like to have people think about something for which they are grateful, and ask for a hint of a smile. It doesn't produce the more relaxed face that tend to look indifferent. The face will have a gentle, positive, subtle look to it.

If I need to position/pose people a certain way, it can be handy to move people physically, but that could be uncomfortable for people, so instead I say something like "I'm rotating your shoulders" while I grab the air as if there are shoulders there and move my hands while the person copies me. It also works at a distance.
