Home before dark is my favourite book of this year so far. You could never guess the ending ha ha.

Stephen King himself says Pet Sematary is his most disturbing book. It’s good. I just finished The Shining and I loved it. The Kubrick movie takes some liberties with the story, so I treat the book and the movie as two different stories.

I feel like The Shining or Pet Sematary are both great introductions to Stephen King. Also, if you enjoy short story collections, Night Shift is wonderful. 😊😊

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE how you tag the genres each book falls under? Because I LOVE IT

Pet Sematary is scary in how it addresses hard emotional topics, but I didn’t find myself super spooked by it (still think it’s an amazing book). The Shining is my favorite King book and I started with that too, other than that I’d recommend Misery!

My first Stephen King book was the summer before 8th grade. We were at Girl Scout Camp and everybody was giggling over a book called Stephen King's IT (there is cursing and private parts, and we were all naive). I read that 1100+ sucker in three days, under the covers with a flashlight, while eating, you get the picture. It remains my favorite, and you NEED to read it at some point! However, for October, I would go with Pet Semetary. It spooked me out more than the Shining or IT.

The long walk is a good Stephen king book to start with because it’s not very scary but you get a feel for his writing😊

I have a very ambitious TBR also. I'm reading some horror romance, vampire books, thrillers, and ghost books. And my yearly rereads of Dracula and Frankenstein

That's called atmosphere when the curtains move on n their own. That's awesome along with your spooky books.

I love that edition of The raven boys, I‘ve never seen it before!!! I have a very ambitious TBR too, they're all very chunky books. But October if my favorite month of the year so it deserves a super TBR!

This is an EPIC tbr! Not sure how far you've gotten with Stephen King BUT, I'm actually doing a Stephen King 24 hour readathon next weekend (23rd & 24th Oct) if you fancy joining! And The Shining was the first Stephen King I read and I loved it - super chilling and spooky - it's now my second favourite King (after Misery)!

I'd love to see a vlog of you reading and watching The Shining! It's one of my favourite King books. Would also love to see a Frankenstein reading vlog!

When I started reading King I was in high School and my first book was Misery. I’ve read quite a few of his books but not even close to all of them. There have been one I loved and ones I haven’t. I definitely suggest Misery, Dolores Claiborne, Rose Madder, The Green Mile, and The Outsider....those were some of my absolute favorites.

Hey! This is my first video with you. My first Stephan King book was Misery, when I was in high school. I read it in one day! I do think Pet Sematary is the scariest piece. Thank you for your great video! 💙💙

Can verify moving to Maine is worth it in the fall (and every other season!). We would love to have you!! Also I say start with The Shining, it’s my favorite Stephen King. Better to read it in fall than during a snow storm for sure so it doesn’t feel TOO real :)
