@ParasValecha right! :) But I have a question do you own a HD2 and what do you think of it?

HD2 is such an awesome device that it withstood Windows Mobile death.
It actually gets more OS updates than most Android phones, via XDA included...

I don't have a HD2 but it makes me weirdly proud somehow... yeah. It's definitely weird.

when its running android, what happens when you press the windows button?
and in that case, what happens when you press any of those buttons, including the lock button and volume buttons?

@irishgandalf757 The coloured rainbow screen is the mode that it need to be for flashing. If this is all you can boot too (try removing and putting back the battery) then install the latest update from the HTC support website before trying to flash android.

@ParasValecha The only phone that comes near is N900 with Maemo, Meego, Android, Linux, and pretty much anything

It scores higher than the Galaxy S but...just when doing things like bringing up the keyboard and opening/clsoing the browser it looked significatnly slower than my SGS. Those synthetic benchmarks just don't mean much, I wish people would emphasize that more... Or leave them out altogether and show some real-world-use performance.

That said I'm a little envious of the HD2-owners. What a great thing for tinkering.

@MrOsamaful
Its not bad hardware. The HD2 is from 2009, it was the best hardware at the time, and its not too far behind todays phones.

@Boniu1990 Points are not cheated, that is Stock Galaxy S, Samsung used .rfs files which is really slow, however the modding community fixed there result with something called 'lag fix' there is many on youtube video showing it. Stock is - 700points - Modded is - 2300+. My friend got 2700+, depending which ROM you use.

I would love to see them come out with a Samsung Vibrant / Galaxy S Rom .... that's what I've been patiently waiting on

How can you go back to Windows Mobile? I know Android is much better, but just I would prefer the options of dual-booting and being able to choose which OS to run. Thanks.

I bought a HD2 when it first came out and nearly cried when i found out that they'd pulled support for android. As soon as froyo came about from Haret, i nearly cried again from joy. Been using it ever since, love it. Death to iphone.

I have android 2.2 right now on my hd2 and I can't overclock it (not rooted). Is this 2.3.1 version rooted so i can overclock it or do I need to root it too?

@Boniu1990 Well most people report 700 while I ask on XDA forum when they tested it awhile ago, idk how you manage to get 1200+. But it is due to the RFS file, RFS is 15x slower than ext4. Whereas you see the fps of the benchmark are the same, meaning the rfs is holding back, how long does it take to finish loading file at start of the benchmark? quite long on stock huh? whereas ext4 should be 10-15seconds. thankyou.
