Lost Arizona Hiker Found Dead, Dog Stayed By His Side

Authorities in Yavapai County, Arizona, say the remains of missing hiker Donald Hayes were found with his dog Ranger still alive at his side. KPNX's Josh Sanders reports.

So sad for both the owner and his poor baby that would not leave his master's side even to seek food or water. May the poor thing recover from his ordeal but the lose of his owner never. We sometimes take our pets for granted and think that they can't feel pain, well you are very wrong to think that way. They would lay down their own life to save you so we humans need to be more considerate of our pets.

Dogs are devoted. It reminds me of the true 2011 story of the chocolate labrador retriever that went to his master's funeral and layed down by the coffin as if guarding him. His master had died in Afghanistan as a Navy Seal and had been away. But the dog knew.❤
