COVID-19: Labour calls for 'common sense' over Xmas parties

Labour says it wants a "common sense" approach to socialising in the run-up to Christmas and backs people meeting up for parties.

The government has taken a similar stance amid fears the hospitality industry would be badly damaged by another COVID Christmas.

But with so little known about the Omicron variant, there are fears big work parties could spark a spike in cases.

I get the feeling almost everyone will be using common sense by ignoring this BS.
This is just another poor attempt at trying to ridicule people who DONT comply with this crap by insinuating its common sense to listen to this bollox.

Honestly the majority of Britain don't work in jobs with big office parties. This obsession with them this last week just shows how out of touch the majority of MPs are with the electorate. And then to hear someone on question time saying that if they have to be cancelled the government should cover the costs....my business had to close for 2/3rds of the last year-there's no way in hell that my tax should pay for other people's Christmas parties!

Whatever either government say, people will do as they like anyway.

The latest mandatory mask law has made NO difference! people on public transport are still not wearing mask and the same some goes for shops. Where there's no monitoring done, people will do as that want.
Christmas will be the same! a repeat of last Christmas.
